I look forward to working with you and will always do my best to meet your needs and achieve your goals. By agreeing to work with me, you are agreeing to my Terms and Conditions – which apply to all artwork, graphic design, print and services provided by me.

I will provide a written quote for all services and products in advance except in cases where an hourly rate has been agreed. This quote is based on the number of days estimated to accomplish everything you have told me you want to achieve and is valid for 30 days. I understand that fixed-price contracts can be constricting, as they often limit you to your first idea about how something should look, or how it might work. I can keep your options open if you change your mind or want to add elements, by simply charging you a daily or hourly rate.

Final cost of the project may also vary due to rising prices in third party costs or additional third party costs that could not be foreseen at the time of the original quote – these may include, but aren’t limited to, fonts, imagery, data entry and digital processing.

It is your responsibility to check all proofs provided by me, and to ensure that final proofs are correct for publication. Artwork or proofs approved by you for publication that are subsequently found to have errors are not in any way my responsibility nor liability.

You guarantee to me that any elements of text, graphics, photos, designs, trademarks, or other artwork that you provide for inclusion in brochures, websites or other deliverables are either owned by you or that you have permission to use them.

When I receive your final payment, copyright is automatically assigned as follows:

You own the graphics and other visual elements that are created for you for this project and I will give you a copy of these files. These files do not always include native source files or original design files and, in these instances, may be purchased at an additional cost. Also, I reserve the right to display the item/s in any online or offline portfolios, and for the purpose of marketing or advertising services on or offline.

If multiple design concepts are submitted, only one concept is deemed to be given by me as fulfilling the contract. All other artwork designs remain the property of me, unless agreed in writing.

I am sure you understand how important it is to a freelance designer, that invoices are paid promptly. Invoices are to be paid in full 14 days from the invoice date. 30% of the project fee is due before any work or development on the project begins unless otherwise agreed in writing. If payment is delayed later than 30 days, I may exercise my statutory right to claim interest and compensation for debt recovery costs under the late payment legislation. I also reserve the right to remove goods, services and websites in the event of non-payment.

If a project is cancelled or on hold indefinitely at any stage, then I may invoice you in full or for all of the work completed up to that point, plus any costs I face for outside supplies already ordered for the project.

Any query on an invoice must be made in writing/email within five working days of the invoice date.

You agree to fully indemnify and hold me free from harm in any and all claims resulting from the customer in not having obtained all the required copyright, and/or any other necessary permissions. You also agree that I hold no responsibility for any amendments made by any third party, before or after a design is published.
